Reminder: 2016 Member Pass Stickers:

2016 member pass stickers are required for fare-free travel on EZRide, and are valid until February 3rd, 2017. Prior year pass stickers are not valid. As always, all MIT photo IDs are also valid for fare-free access to EZRide Shuttle.

** Available from participating member institutions. MBTA passes and transfers are not accepted on EZRide. EZRide and the CRTMA are not affilated with the MBTA.

 

Multi-Ride Ticket Books

EZRide Shuttle now offers multi-ride ticket books for members of the general public. Tickets are valid for one trip at the adult cash fare - tickets are not available for the discount fare. Ticket books are priced as follows:

10-Ride (1 book):  $20.00
20-Ride (2 books): $38.00
30-Ride (3 books): $56.00
40-Ride (4 books): $72.00

Ticket books may be purchased online via Paypal (major credit cards accepted), or by mail order (check or money order only) by completing and submitting our PDF Form. All orders require a valid mailing address - ticket books are sent via US Mail.

Hours of Operation

EZRide operates Monday through Friday only. No service on Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays.

  • Morning Service: 6:20 AM to 10:52 AM
    Connections between Cambridgeport and North Station via Kendall Square.
    Please check the schedules tab for exact times of first and last trips.
  • Midday Service: 10:44 AM to 3:00 PM
    Connections between Cambridgeport and Kendall Square ONLY. EZRide does not operate between Kendall Square and North Station during Midday. Please check the schedules tab for exact times of first and last trips.
  • Evening Service: 3:00 PM 8:00 PM
    Connections between Cambridgeport and North Station via Kendall Square Please check the schedules tab for exact times of first and last trips.

Continuous service is provided in the transition from Morning to Midday, and from Midday to Evening. Please check the schedules tab for exact times of first and last trips, and for terminus location of last trips.

Please be advised that service to stops between Kendall Square and Cambridgeport vary by daypart. Consult maps to determine your closest stop location based on time of day.

Accessibility

All EZRide buses are low-floor and equipped with wheelchair ramps and kneelers.  Our blue (El Dorado) buses have ramps located at the rear doors, while the white (Gillig) buses have ramps located at the front passenger door.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted onboard EZRide Shuttle at all times.

Pets Onboard Shuttles

Small pets are permitted only when carried in appropriate carry-on sized pet carriers.  EZRide does not permit leashed or unleashed dogs on board the shuttle (except for those carried as described above).

Lost & Found

We will make every attempt to recover lost items on board shuttles, however, neither Charles River TMA, nor our contractor, Paul Revere Transportation, LLC, assumes any responsibility for items lost on board shuttle buses. If you have lost an item, please call 617-839-4636 (617-8EZ-INFO) and leave a message describing the lost item, the time and direction of the shuttle trip you were on, and the bus number. We will contact you to arrange for pick up if the item is found.

Bike Rack Guidelines

All EZRide Shuttle buses feature front-mounted bike racks. Each bus can carry two standard bicycles. If you wish to use the bike racks, please familiarize yourself with our Bike Rack Usage Guidelines.

Board at Designated Stops Only

Per the instructions of the Cambridge License Commission, EZRide Shuttle drivers cannot board or discharge passengers outside of the designated stop areas. Charles River TMA and Paul Revere Transportation have stepped up enforcement of this policy. Passengers are asked not to approach buses that are stopped in traffic outside of stops and to only board at designated stop locations.

Boarding passengers outside of bus stops creates unsafe situations for both passengers and other motorists and cyclists. Established bus stops ensure that buses do not make unexpected stops while in traffic, and also discourage passengers from walking into traffic to reach buses. We ask for your cooperation and understanding to help ensure a safe shuttle operation for passengers and the general public alike.
